Recently, the 11th edition of the iHeartRadio Music Awards was held, an event aimed at recognizing music and artists heard on iHeartMedia stations. A celebration that this year was marked by SZA’s triumph and the musical showdown between divas Cher and Jennifer Hudson. The «Believe» singer received the well-deserved ICON Award. However, they weren’t the only ones in the spotlight.
We already know that Mexican corridos tumbados star Peso Pluma doesn’t go unnoticed at these events. After a somewhat turbulent start to the year following his breakup with Argentine trap star Nicki Nicole, the Doble P hasn’t stopped announcing new projects, including several new songs and an upcoming album and tour, «Éxodo.»
The «Ella Baila Sola» artist has previously been involved in other crossovers with global music stars from the United States, such as at the last edition of the Grammys with hip hop legend Jay Z. This time, the artist crossed paths with none other than Jared Leto. The Thirty Seconds to Mars vocalist and actor seemed quite excited to meet the Mexican star, and they exchanged some words before taking a joint photo. However, there’s an unexpected but relevant detail in all of this.
As previously reported on LOS40, Peso Pluma is rumored to be planning a collaboration with Drake in the near future, as he confessed to us in a previous interview. Moreover, the Jalisco-born artist was interested in working with other US stars like Kanye West. This suggests that both artists could be planning, or at least considering, working together.
And let’s not forget that Doble P is almost ready to release his upcoming studio work in May 2024, as he revealed at the aforementioned gala. Could it possibly include a surprise collaboration with other American artists, such as Leto? — We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out!
