The Surprise Peso Pluma is Preparing for Coachella 2024

There’s barely anything left until the highly anticipated first weekend of Coachella, one of the most recognized and awaited festivals in the United States.

An edition full of excitement with headliners like Lana del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat. But this 2024, in the desert, we can also find around 20 Latin and Spanish artists.

One of the most demanded is, of course, Peso Pluma. If we look back just a year ago, the Mexican artist took the stage for the first time to accompany his partner and friend Becky G and sing together their collaboration, «Chanel.»

However, just a few months later, the singer of «LADY GAGA» returns in a big way, being one of the big names on the Coachella lineup. Let’s remember that in just one year, he managed to place more that 30 songs on the most important Billboard charts like the Hot Latin Songs, which combines streams, radio airplay, and sales to rank the 50 most popular Latin songs in the United States. His viral hit «Ella Baila Sola» stayed 13 weeks on the chart, but also 6 weeks on the Billboard Global 200 and reached a historic top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

In the last year, Peso Pluma has practically won all the awards including the Grammy and the Latin Grammys, making history with his latest album, Genesis (2023), a paradigm shift that has contributed to taking Mexican Music to another level. Now, he has just announced his future studio work, Éxodo, which will be released this May along with a tour of the United States.

What’s Peso Pluma Preparing for Coachella 2024?

So, what does Double P prepare for us in the desert one year later? Well, although a few months ago we might have thought we’d see Peso Pluma and until recently his partner, the Argentine Nicki Nicole, in the purest Rosalía and Rauw style in the Coachella Valley, the truth is we believe it won’t go that way.

However, we’re sure that Peso Pluma is getting ready something big for his first show as a headlining artist at Coachella, and it will undoubtedly feature some big names in his performance. We know that it’s common for artists to invite others to sing some of their hits, and we must remember that Peso Pluma has climbed to fame largely due to the success of his collaborations. So, who else should we expect this weekend?

Considering the great relationship the singer of «Ella Baila Sola» maintains with the Brazilian funk sensation, Anitta (they recently shared a kiss on stage), it wouldn’t surprise us at all to have the great opportunity to see «Bellakeo» live. Similarly, we believe it’s perfectly feasible for other Mexican stars like Junior H, Natanael Cano, or Christian Nodal to accompany their compatriot on such a special night. The same goes for other big figures like Karol G, Arcangel, Ryan Castro, and other references who also have songs with the Mexican. And of course, with Eslabón Armado!

It’s worth noting that Peso Pluma hasn’t given any hints about what his performance will be like, but there we can surely hear his most iconic songs like «Ella Baila Sola,» «Igual Que Un Angel,» or «Lady Gaga,» among others.
