Do you miss Rosalía? Us too. Although the Spanish diva has been in the spotlight this year thanks to collaborations with a range of artists like Carolina Durante, Ralphie Choo, and LISA, she has only left a few breadcrumbs about what’s next for her solo career.

With a teaser referencing Imaginary Disk by Magdalena Bay and a project titled R4 etched into fans’ minds, Rosalía once again stirred anticipation. Comments on her social media reflect the excitement: “Now take it off your forehead and put it on Spotify,” and “R4 OMG WHY ARE YOU TAKING SO LONG😭😭,” are just a couple of the reactions.

This is yet another reminder that she’s working on her fourth album, following Los Ángeles, El Mal Querer, and Motomami. Everything indicates this new project will drop in 2025.

Back in the summer, Rosalía confirmed she was still in the midst of production. «All I can say is that the wait will be worth it,» she shared, posting a photo from the studio via her WhatsApp broadcast group, accompanied by the message: «Let’s go. The music won’t make itself.»

Just a few days ago, she shared more images showing the work in progress.

“It’s been a process. I’ve changed a lot, but at the same time, I keep going over the same things. It’s as if I still have the same questions and the same desire to answer them. I still have the same love for the past and the same curiosity about the future,” Rosalía said in an interview with Highsnobiety in September, when asked about the creative process behind her upcoming album.

We now have new clues. Alfredo Lagos, one of the guitarists who worked with Rosalía in her early days, recently revealed some details in an interview with a Spanish outlet: «She has not lost her respect for flamenco, nor does she intend to. She’s still deeply committed to flamenco. In fact, something is brewing. I don’t know the dates, but Rosalía is working on a return to flamenco,» he emphasized.

So, what do you expect from Rosalía’s new era? Are you excited?
