Just a day after surprising fans with a preview of what seems to be a new romantic song through her WhatsApp channel, Rosalía announced her new collaboration with Spanish experimental artist Ralphie Choo via Instagram.
This is what the Catalan artist announced: ‘OMEGAAAAAA 9/25 with Ralphie Choooo. And it will be my birthdaaaaay. Which officially kicks off what we know as Libra season, hehehehe,’ the artist shared through her WhatsApp channel.
On the same platform, this past Sunday, September 22, she shared details about her upcoming release. Rosalía teased a couple of lines from what will be a future song.
«Tú y yo perdíos entre amapolas. Tus ojos brillan, son dos pistolas. Las lenguas se abrazan, ya no estás solas. En la memoria me has disparao,» («You and I, lost among poppies. Your eyes shine, they’re two pistols. Our tongues embrace, no longer alone. You’ve shot me in my memory»)’ she sings over an a cappella rhythm. We don’t know if the artist has followed the same strategy as with ‘New Woman’ (her song with LISA), where these same lines became part of the song she will release on September 25.
The person chosen to co-star in what will surely be one of the songs of the year is Ralphie Choo. The young Spanish musician who has made a name for himself in his country’s music scene for his innovative and unprejudiced genre-blending ability. His music spans from pop and R&B to jazz and bossa nova, creating a unique and warm listening experience.
We can’t wait for Rosalía to surprise us with ‘OMEGA,’ which will mark the beginning of understanding her new musical era.
