Few things inspire an artist more than the unpleasant fact of having their heart broken. But it’s the truth, how many incredible hits delve into the terrible feeling that lingers after a breakup? That seems to be the case for Nicki Nicole, the Argentine artist who publicly ended her relationship with the star of Mexican «corridos tumbados» a month ago after a video of Peso Pluma with another woman in Las Vegas went viral.

Now, Nicki hasn’t missed the opportunity to present what seems to be a snippet of a new breakup song at her eighth Movistar Arena, one of Buenos Aires’ most popular venues. In a show that also featured other Argentine artists such as Lali, Emilia Mernes, or Tiago PZK, Nicole left no one indifferent with words seemingly directed at Doble P.

Nicki Nicole’s Words to Peso Pluma After the Breakup

During her show, Nicki Nicole sang some verses that seemed to directly reference her recent split with the Mexican artist.

«And thorns are also part of the flower,
I know you’re under pressure, but I have courage,
I know you’re a player, but with me, baby, you’re wrong,
I gave you everything, and you acted like nothing,
you left with another,
but I heal myself on my own,
it’s not the first time I’m broken,
keep in mind that karma sooner or later bounces back»

Nicki sang these lines over a nostalgic organ sound, and the venue erupted with the clearest hints. Obviously, she’s talking about a breakup, and she herself hinted that her relationship with Peso Pluma would have ended due to alleged infidelity. «Where there is no respect, I won’t stay. I’m out of there,» the Argentine posted as part of a post-breakup statement on her Instagram account.

Despite rumors of a possible reconciliation and the fact that Peso Pluma has been seen in public again in Los Angeles, it seems that the situation between the two performers, who had become one of the most followed couples in Latin music in the last year, remains the same. A breakup of a love that seemed eternal, adding to other couples that have broken our hearts like Rauw Alejandro and Rosalía.
