Sometimes in life, you have to go the extra mile to achieve your goals, and María Becerra‘s recent experience is a prime example of that. The Argentine artist found herself at Coachella this past weekend, sharing the stage with J Balvin. While her industry colleague extended the invitation to perform together, getting to the venue turned out to be more challenging than expected.

La ‘Nena de Argentina’ busy schedule is well-known, and sometimes it leads to logistical challenges. For instance, she had a performance scheduled in Madrid on Saturday and then needed to fly out to Coachella in the Colorado Desert (California) for Sunday’s show. Unfortunately, a delay in her flight led to a series of obstacles for her.

The «Corazón Vacío» singer shared on TikTok the challenging journey she took from Madrid. “The flight was delayed and, we literally didn’t make it to Coachella. Balvin invited me to sing, and we won’t make it; I’m so frustrated,” Becerra recounts upon her arrival in Los Angeles after a long flight across the pond to make it to the US. As she had planned, it was impossible for her to arrive at the festival on time to meet her commitment with the Colombian. However, the Argentine’s team got to work.

She went to great lengths and managed the impossible: arranging for a helicopter to practically whisk her to her dressing room at Coachella. In the end, she pulled it off, delivered her performance, and had yet another unforgettable experience. But it’s definitely worth watching the TikTok video because María Becerra shares her anxiety, and most importantly, there are plenty of laughs.

María Becerra & J Balvin’s Words

After the nerves of the live performance had subsided, she took Instagram to express her gratitude to Balvin for everything he has done for her since they collaborated on the anthem «Qué Más Pues?». “My dear friend, it’s been wonderful continuing to share stages year after year. I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for me during this time,” she wrote on the platform. “You’ve taken me under your wing, taught me many things, and supported me.”

It’s clear that they share a strong bond. What we’re unsure of is whether this friendship will lead to another collaboration between these two Latin American stars. We definitely hope so, don’t we?
