When we think of the biggest names in Latin music, Karol G is one of the first that comes to mind. And when it comes to opera legends, Andrea Bocelli is right at the top. But can you imagine them together? Well, now it’s a reality. The Colombian star and the Italian maestro have teamed up for a surprising rendition of one of Bocelli’s most iconic songs: ‘Vivo por Ella.’

What makes this collaboration even more interesting is the fresh twist on the original version. ‘La Bichota’ added her own touch, combining the best of both worlds. The song keeps the classic, orchestral essence of ‘Vivo por Ella’ while also bringing in a modern, pop vibe that gives it a whole new identity.

Karol G, talking about the song, said: “I discovered Andrea when I was a teenager. I felt a strong connection to his music, the power of his voice, and his unique way of making music. It’s a huge honor for me to sing this song; I’ve always loved it, and when I was invited to perform Vivo por Ella, I felt right at home. It’s a song that really resonates with me, and I believe it will be a special milestone in my career.”

Bocelli, in a statement shared by Universal Music, said: “This song holds a very special place in my heart, and it’s a great honor to reimagine it with one of the most talented and exciting new artists in the world, Karol G. Her beautiful voice helps create a timeless celebration of love and music that will reach new fans and resonate across generations.”

Duets

Karol G is at one of the highest points in her career, having just finished her hugely successful Mañana Será Bonito world tour, which became the highest-grossing Latin tour ever by a woman. Meanwhile, Bocelli is celebrating his 30th anniversary in music and is getting ready to release his album Duets on October 25.

‘Vivo Por Ella’ will be part of this album, which also features collaborations with major artists like Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, Céline Dion, and more.
