Belinda had taken a break from her music career for a while. Sure, she dropped a few collaborations here and there to stay in the spotlight, but recording a full album wasn’t high on her list. Luckily, things have changed. The Mexican artist is making a comeback, and it’s starting to take shape.

Her latest single, «Cactus,» released in January, is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting new chapter. She’s gearing up to explore various musical styles, starting with Mexico’s regional sound. More than anything, this album is a personal journey for the singer. She’s using her music to express her own experiences, much like Shakira does.

“All the songs have special meanings,” Belinda mentioned at one of her recent concerts. “When you listen closely, you’ll notice who each song is dedicated to, and that brings me a lot of joy because I’ve always been quite reserved.”

Although she’s usually kept away from media controversies, the singer is now using her music to share her experiences: “I’m not much of a talker, and I prefer to avoid conflicts and drama. But during my time in the studio, I found a way to express myself through music again. I realized I have something important to say through my songs.”

«300 Noches,» Her Second Single

As we mentioned, «Cactus» was just the beginning. Just a few days ago, she released «300 Noches» in collaboration with the Mexican artist Natanael Cano. This is the second preview of her upcoming studio album. It’s another song that draws from the popular local genre that’s currently trending: corridos tumbados.

For now, we’ll have to wait to see what Belinda’s next moves in the music industry will be. However, everything seems to indicate that the Latin pop star is well-prepared for her ‘Reputation Era’. In fact, rumors suggest that this highly anticipated album may already have a very striking title: Indomable (Untamed).
