Christian Nodal and Ángela Aguilar have become one of the most unexpected and talked-about couples lately. Let’s recall that Nodal was previously with Argentine trap singer Cazzu, with whom he shares a daughter. After their surprising breakup, the Mexican singer announced his romance with Águilar.  

At just 20 years old, Ángela’s father, Pepe Aguilar, has always tried to protect her and maintain her public image. With this scandal, many might think things are a bit tense between Ángela and her dad. Especially since the world found out unexpectedly about her relationship with the «La Intención» singer. 

While we can’t even begin to imagine what’s going through Pepe’s mind, we can guess some things. The last time his daughter was linked to a romantic relationship, he fiercely defended her. This time, however, seems completely different. Unlike before, Pepe Aguilar has chosen to stay silent and not comment on his daughter’s romance.

In June, while leaving a hotel in Torreón, Coahuila, a reporter approached the singer, who was polite. However, according to TV Notas, when he was asked about the romance between Ángela and Nodal and all the opinions about it, Pepe Aguilar dodged the questions. He just said, “I will make a statement when the time is right. When the time is right. Go to the palenque.”

The Aguilar Reunion

After a romantic trip to Paris with her boyfriend and joining him in his concerts, Ángela returned to the stage for the ‘Jaripeo hasta los huesos’ show with her father and brother Leonardo. This was her first public appearance with her family since the scandal. Videos circulating on social media show Ángela showcasing her incredible talent at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

There was a lot of speculation that she might not participate, but her presence showed that the Aguilar family is still united despite the recent controversy, rumors, and speculation. However, Christian Nodal wasn’t at the concert with Ángela and her family, as he is currently touring Europe.
