Her path to Success

Young Miko, born María Victoria, is a 24-year-old Puerto Rican rapper from Añasco, Puerto Rico. The artist started recording her first songs in her bedroom. According to Rolling Stone magazine, she bought a microphone with the money she had earned as a tattoo artist. However, she made it official with ‘105 Freestyle’, a song she presented in July 2021 together with producer Caleb Calloway. 

Little by little, many began to listen to Young Miko, who has made a name for herself among the biggest promises of trap. One of the songs that also stands out from her beginnings is ‘Riri’, which she performed on stage at Bad Bunny’s concert and received a great reception from the attendees. It is included in her debut album ‘Trap Kitty’.

One of his most viral tracks is ‘Lisa’, which has expanded to other territories after its success on the TikTok platform. Her verse «hablando claro, tengo un problema. Y es que rápido me enchulo de las nenas» has traveled around the globe.

In fact, “Young Miko” means “daughter of god”. It comes from anime, which is one of the greatest passions of our protagonist. Her projects are always accompanied by the aesthetics of this universe.

An empowered artist

The Puerto Rican singer has always supported LGTBIQ+ community rights and women empowerment. Young Miko has always spoken openly about her sexuality and in her lyrics she always addresses a woman. «This is the empowerment of my community and that’s a beautiful thing. They feel like they have a space to be themselves and feel powerful,» she states in her interview for Rolling Stone magazine.
