Bizarrap needs no presentation. The Argentine producer literally makes history in the industry everytime he drops a new ‘BZRP Music Session’. A creative space where he has already joined some of the biggest names in the industry, including Shakira, Residente and Nicky Jam, among others.
The Argentine producer broke the Internet when he announced his long-awaited new session, featuring corridos tumbados icon Peso Pluma. They both delivered an explosive release combining the characteristic rhythm of Regional Mexican music with some urban styles and clever rhymes. “¡Que vivan los corridos!”, sings the Doble P.
The BZRP Music Session #55 has already achieved 12 million views on YouTube only 9 hours after its release.
Peso Pluma has become a central name in the industry after sweeping charts in the U.S. (he led the top spot in our Lista Los40 USA for several weeks) and worldwide with his corridos tumbados, a subgenre of regional Mexican music that combines traditional corridos (national accordion-laced regional folk ballads from the 19th century) with urban and trap influences.
This fast-growing style has been popularized by big names in the Mexican scene like Natanael Cano, Fuerza Regida and Junior H. However, Peso Pluma has elevated this new artistic expression getting to the top spot with hits like the viral ‘Ella Baila Sola’ featuring Eslabón Armado. This collab has become the first Mexican music song ever to enter the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 and peak at No.1 on the Billboard Global 200.
The Mexican notches also several hits at the top of the charts like:’La Bebé – Remix’ featuring Yng Lvcas, ‘PRC’ with Natanael Cano, ‘AMG’ also with Natael Cano and Gabito Ballesteros and his single ‘Por las Noches’. He has also collaborated with other great artists in the urban genre like Nicki Nicole, Eladio Carrión and Becky G.
