Indisputably, Sydney Sweeney has emerged as one of the most in-demand actresses of the moment. Her breakthrough came in 2019 when she portrayed Cassie Howard in the HBO series ‘Euphoria,’ a role that showcased her exceptional acting talent.
Following her success, Sweeney also featured in the highly acclaimed HBO series ‘The White Lotus,’ which obtained numerous awards for its first season. Its second season is now nominated for the 2023 Emmy Awards, set to take place on January 15, 2024, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike.

In addition to her television work, Sweeney made a notable appearance in the 2019 film ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,’ but in a smaller role. Excitingly, her upcoming project is ‘Madame Web,’ where she stars alongside Dakota Johnson. Thanks to her immense talent, the iconic band The Rolling Stones reached out to her, inviting her to appear in their upcoming music video. Sweeney said to ABC News that she ‘freaked out, called my family, and brought my mom,’ and said it was ‘the biggest thing ever.’

In truth, they never really left, as they’ve been touring the world for years, but the iconic British band is now treating us to a new, unreleased repertoire after nearly two decades. On October 20, 2023, one of the most renowned rock bands in the music industry will unveil their latest album: Hackney Diamonds, featuring 12 original songs. This marks their first album release since 2016 and the first with original compositions since 2005’s A Bigger Bang.
Sweeney makes an appearance in the music video for the new track ‘Angry,’ which is part of this exciting new album.

In the video, directed by Francois Rousselet, we can see Sweeney lip-syncing to the track while dancing on a red convertible Mercedes driving through one of the streets in what seems to be the city of Los Angeles. Along this journey, billboards showcasing The Rolling Stones dominate the scenery. These dynamic visuals include various performances and videos spanning the band’s illustrious career.
The idea for the video sprang from the Stones’ request to show the band’s journey over the years. Rousselet nailed it by having Sweeney zip through the band’s history, ending up in the here and now with recent shots of the band members, all leading up to their upcoming album. She truly rocks the look with her outfit, rocking a black leather top paired with star-patterned pants and high platform boots.
Rousselet told Rolling Stone that he wanted to honor the golden era of rock billboards for the music video, finding inspiration in photographer Robert Landau’s 2016 book ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip’ (which documents the presence of advertisements for rock bands in West Hollywood during the 1960s to 1980s).
Unfortunately, most billboards are being replaced by digital screens… That’s sad because this whole beautiful era of creativity with the billboard, the way the ads stick out and were so cleverly made, is over. What you see (in the video) was what’s left; there’s about 70 of them” Rousselet –told Rolling Stone on a Zoom from Paris.
