Nicki Nicole’s music has become the favorite soundtrack of thousands and thousands of fans around the world. Her talent, which began expanding through YouTube and the rest of digital platforms by the hand of Jonavi, has been captivating more and more people until becoming one of the referents of a new movement in the scene of Argentina.
In the LOS40 family we were lucky to have her in our studios in 2019, the year in which she visited Spain for the first time to talk about her first big hit Wapo Traketero. The years have passed and the artist has shown that she has a great talent that she has not stopped bringing to her studio albums. Now, with the release of ALMA, she returns to the LOS40 Urban studios to chat with Cintia León, not only about this new project, but also about her friendship with Rels B and what she never revealed about Quevedo.
Young Miko has become an international phenomenon and precisely she’s part of the tracklist of ALMA. She assures that they both felt such a strong connection that their meeting in the studio flowed and the song 8 A.M. came out the first time. However, sometimes you don’t have that connection with an artist, and that’s something that happened to Nicki with the Spanish artist Quevedo. «We met in the studio and it didn’t flow because we didn’t know each other at all», she assures in front of our microphones. «Now we’re in that moment of getting to know each other», she adds. In fact, they’ve already been out partying together in Argentina, so we’re sure this collaboration is going to happen sooner than we imagined. «I took him to the joda (laughs) […] Obviously we both said yes to going to the studio», she says.
Friends Forever
Another with whom she collaborates on ALMA is Rels B. Skinny has become for Nicki an artist she carries with her forever. ‘Qué Le Pasa Conmigo?’ is the track that has brought them together and immediately won over her followers upon its release. She considers him a «super friend».
What is clear is that Nicki is living one of her most exciting professional stages, demonstrating that she has great versatility in music and a thousand stories to tell.
