Peso Pluma and Eslabon Armado continue to lead our Lista LOS40 USA with «Ella Baila Sola,» one of the collaborations that has been a turning point in the industry, unprecedentedly expanding the legacy of Mexican music in the United States and other parts of the world.
As if that weren’t enough, the «Doble P» adds another song to the ranking this week, their latest release «QUEMA» with Ryan Castro, which just came out last week and already shows promise to climb the chart. With this, the Mexican icon, currently one of the most listened to artists worldwide, solidifies as the artist with the most songs on the Lista Los40 USA, with a total of 13 hits.
Meanwhile, the «LALA» fever has also arrived to Lista LOS40 USA. Puerto rican star Myke Towers tried to explain us on LOS40 Urban the meaning behind the song that has become a viral phenomenon, but it was too hot to to go into details. The summery catchy drop from his latest album La Vida Es Una had all the qualities to sweep our chart and it enters directly to the Top 10, in the #9 position.
And he’s not the only prominent figure leading the new generation of Latin urban music that adds a new hot release to the Lista, as Colombian queen Karol G joins to the chart this week again with her latest release «S91.» An emotional song dedicated to her fans and the people that trusted her throught her incredible career.
«Familia, S91 is not a single. S91 It’s a song that Carolina wanted to do beyond business and numbers … take advantage of my platform to express myself, to share a message …,» she wrote on her Twitter profile.
And she was right because «S91» symbolizes a lot more, since it refers to Psalm 91. At the end of the song, Karol G recites the verse 7:
Or the plagues that come with darkness
though ten thousand are dying around you,
these evils will not touch you,”Karol G in 'S91'
Finally, the last prominent figure to enter the list this week is the pioneer of explosive corridos tumbados, none other than the Mexican artist Natanael Cano with one of the singles from his highly anticipated latest album, Nata Montana. A nostalgic return to his sound, with powerful rhymes and his melodic voice blending with the strings of a guitar.
As you can see, each week our artists continue to shape an increasingly diverse Lista LOS40 USA, with a strong leadership of Latin music in its various currents and expressions.
Songs to vibe with this summer, to listen to after a breakup, to immerse oneself in a process of personal growth, but also to sing while missing places or people, songs that remind us of some of the best moments in our lives. That’s what it’s all about, right?
And you, which artists are you looking forward to seeing on the Lista LOS40 USA in the coming weeks?
