Peso Pluma is the name behind the regional Mexican songs that are blanketing all charts across the US, but also worldwide. The rising hitmaker joined Eslabón Armado, the regional Mexican group coming from California and known for their sierreño ballads and corridos tumbados, to finally release ‘Ella Baila Sola‘ music video.
The song was first released on March 17 and immediately went viral on TikTok, becoming the first regional Mexican song in history to reach the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. It also reached no.1 position on the Hot Latin Songs chart.
‘Ella Baila Sola‘ is a ballad that combines the rhythms and nostalgia of regional Mexican with the direct and striking language of urban influeced styles. With an atmosphere hat evokes the roaring 20s (and also brings Peaky Blinders’ vibes), Peso Pluma and Eslabón Armado sing to to love and attraction after noticing a morra (young girl) who dances alone at the theme party.
The achievements list of this great collab is long. In addition to the previously mentioned milestones, ‘Ella Baila Sola‘ also debuted in Latin Streaming Song chart, amassed 19 million official streams in the following week it was released. The song also reached the No. 4 position in the US Top 50 on Spotify.
