Katy Perry’s Daughter Made Her First Public Appearance at a Live Concert

Dressed as Minnie Mouse, the two years old melted the heart of the public

Katy Perry became a mom for the first time on August 27, 2021, when she and Orlando Bloom welcomed their daughter, Daisy. Like many celebrities –and parents–, they kept their daughter’s identity as private as they could for quite some time. However, that changed last Saturday when Daisy, who is now two years old, attended one of Katy Perry’s concerts in Las Vegas, making her first public appearance. She looked adorable dressed as Minnie Mouse, and fans all over the world were touched by the moment. 

During the concert, just as Katy Perry was about to perform her hit song «Hot n Cold,» she spotted her daughter’s image on the large stage screen. Overwhelmed by emotion and tears, Katy couldn’t resist sharing her feelings with the audience. She lovingly said, “Daisy! I love you so much. You’re my best friend and I’m so glad you’re here.” With a big smile, she turned to her daughter and continued, “I’m gonna sing this next song, I think you know it, ok? It was in 2008 and mommy was a bit wild back then…”

Perry also talked about how Daisy has had a profound impact on her life, bringing healing and a renewed sense of playfulness. She explained that her performance was designed to connect with the inner child in all of us and to inspire the hope that seeing life through a child’s eyes can bring a sense of freedom.
