Carín León premieres his new long-waited album titled ‘Colmillo de Leche’ with a repertoire of 18 tracks, of which his fans have already been able to enjoy on all streaming platforms. ‘Si es cierto que te vas’, ‘No es por acá’, ‘Mil maneras de morir‘ and ‘La Primera Cita’ are rising rapidly in the charts. This new spectacular new studio work undoubtedly exemplifies how the game is changing in the regional Mexican music scene.
Moreover, it includes dazzling collabs with internationally renowned artists such as Camilo in ‘Ni Me Debes Ni Te Debo’, Pablo Alborán ‘De Piedra a Papel’ and Ángela Aguilar ‘Vete Yendo’.
“Today we are more Mexican than ever, making our music in a dignified way, without looking for a hit, but for the simple fact of making good music. There are many exponents today who are trying to dignify regional Mexican music, many fresh proposals, many ideas trying to include lyrics with different content. Many people are taking the genre to another level, which I believe is the responsibility that we, the exponents of regional Mexican music, have at this moment», he recently said in his interview with Los40 USA.
In his latest studio work, we can find the unique style of Carin León, but going beyond and experimenting through other sparkling combinations and rhythms of different genres inside and outside of Mexican music.
Among the 18 songs is also ‘Deja de Chingarme’, which surely will become a regional Mexican anthem. Here, Carín speaks about the feelings of an ex-partner and with which many people will identify. ‘Mi Alma Embrujada’ is a regional Mexican song that honors Cuban music, reaching a very powerful mix. ‘Te Pedí’ is a regional singe with a lot of sensitivity and ‘Pedazo de Tonto’ evokes country music with very fresh lyrics.
«Colmillo de Leche is one of the most important projects I have done throughout my career. Here I show feelings and styles that I had not dared to show before. Always, having the regional present as the soul of the album but fused with flamenco, a bit of salsa, country, American folklore, blues and soul. All genres that have shaped me as an artist and as a person. To be able to mix it all in one album is something very refreshing both personally and for the regional Mexican genre in general», he declared on his new work.
