Brad Pitt is globally renowned as one of Hollywood’s most iconic actors. However, he’s been making headlines recently due to family issues. A Father’s Day post from one of his adopted sons, Pax, in 2020 resurfaced where he criticized the actor, calling him an ‘awful human being’ and accusing him of causing serious harm to their family, among other things.
Now, Zahara Marley, their second daughter adopted from Ethiopia in 2005, and who had her last name changed to ‘Jolie-Pitt’ in January 2006, introduced herself during her initiation into the Spelman College ‘Alpha Kappa Alpha’ sorority’s induction ceremony using only her mother’s last name, ‘Jolie,’ without mentioning ‘Pitt.’
“I am Zahara Marley Jolie!” She declared in front of the sorority members and her mother. According to some sources, this act may symbolize solidarity and a deep bond among the women in the sorority.
Just five days before Angelina Jolie filed for divorce, there was an incident on a private jet. According to some sources, things got really heated between Brad Pitt and Angelina, and unfortunately, an argument between the actor and Maddox, their eldest son, got out of hand. It was also reported that Maddox stepped in to support Angelina during the dispute.
The situation got so serious that both the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services launched investigations. They were looking into allegations of child abuse related to the incident, but these investigations were eventually dropped. However, it seems that Maddox hasn’t really let go of this incident. He actually testified against his dad in Angelina Jolie’s custody case and even decided to drop Brad’s last name.
“He doesn’t use Pitt as his last name on documents that aren’t legal and instead uses Jolie. Maddox wants to legally change his last name to Jolie, which Angelina has said she doesn’t support,” as reported by a source at Us Weekly.
