Billie Eilish, even though she didn’t drop a new album in 2023, she still managed to release one of this year’s standout songs. The superstar treated us to a beautiful ballad with «What Was I Made For?» from the Barbie movie soundtrack. This track not only won over the public but also earned praise from critics, earning its place as a contender in various categories at the Golden Globes.

But fans are eagerly awaiting more from Billie, and it seems their patience is about to be rewarded. Following the success of her 2021 release Happier Than Ever, Billie is now close to completing her upcoming album. She confirmed this exciting news during an interview with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, surprising the audience with the announcement of her new album.

When the host asked about her plans for 2024 and the possibility of a new album, Billie didn’t hesitate to respond:

“We’re almost done with this new album we’re working on. At some point, you will know more, but I’m not gonna say any more than that.”

In response to these revelations, The Tonight Show’s studio audience erupted in applause and cheers. Billie Eilish is undoubtedly one of the artists with a massive following, and ever since she released her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? at the young age of 17, she has remained in the music industry’s spotlight.

Billie, who collaborates closely with her brother Finneas, is currently celebrating six Grammy nominations for the song «What Was I Made For?» The track is a top contender in major categories, including Record of the Year and Song of the Year. We’ll eagerly await whether Billie will take home any of these prestigious awards.

Billie’s Openness About Her Sexuality Costs Her 100,000 Followers

As we have mentioned before, at a recent event organized by Variety, where she originally mentioned her attraction to women in an interview, Billie wanted to clarify her stance and address those who withdrew their support. “I thought it was pretty obvious. I didn’t realize many people didn’t know. But then I saw the article and thought, ‘Oh, I guess I officially came out today.’ That’s okay, it’s actually pretty cool. It’s exciting for me because I guess some people weren’t aware, but it’s great that they are now,” Billie Eilish explained casually on the event’s red carpet.

Her Instagram follower count has recently decreased by over 100,000. Nevertheless, she takes pride in her identity and her choice of love, for she believes that love is love. This is just one of the many reasons why we admire her; she consistently remains true to herself.
