Normani, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui have revolutionized the industry with an unexpected Fifth Harmony reunion at the Jonas Brothers concert on August, 31, in Dallas, TX.
The iconic girl group came together after announcing an indefinite break back in 2018. However, there was still a big absence: Camila Cabello. The singer left the group in 2016 and has not participated in the highly discussed comeback.
After two years of rumors, it finally happened: the reunion that many fans thought would never take place, even though songs like Work From Home and All in My Head went viral on TikTok in recent months.
The Fifth Harmony fandom began to suspect a possible joint performance after several hints on social media. “The impossible is possible. Today I’m full of gratitude,” Jane wrote on her profile. “Coming Soon,” read a post on the group’s account.
The relationship between the four stars has remained intact, even while the group was on standby. Brooke, Jane, and Jauregui shared photos from a tropical vacation to celebrate Brooke’s birthday. Normani was absent due to work commitments, as Jauregui later explained.
Last year, Brooke and Jane performed together onstage in Los Angeles to sing Better Together by Fifth Harmony. The duo even recorded a Christmas song. For now, the reunion has only included the four of them. We haven’t seen that since 2018, but Camila’s absence remains highly notable.
The relationship between Fifth Harmony and Camila Cabello has been one of the most talked-about topics surrounding the band in recent years. The main question that has always intrigued fans is why the Havana singer decided to leave the band. In fact, Camila herself addressed the reasons during an interview on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast.
«I can remember waking up on tour (…) and going to my hotel room at like 7 a.m. and opening GarageBand to write songs, because I didn’t want to do it while everybody was around, and I had such a passion that turned into songwriting. At first I was like, ‘Oh, maybe I want to write for other people.’ But then it turned into, ‘No, actually I want to sing these songs myself.’»
She continued: «I started distancing myself from the group vision, and it felt like, you know, they were still really passionate about it, but I just wasn’t happy there anymore. It didn’t feel aligned.» Since then, Cabello has experienced major success in her solo career.

Still, there are reasons to believe that the relationship remains positive, or at least ended on good terms. All of the members, including Cabello, paid their respective homages for the group’s 10th anniversary in 2022. They even reunited to congratulate Normani on her album launch in 2024.
“Where were you on August 31, 2025? Thank you @jonasbrothers for inviting us. It was incredible to be back! 💖”
One of the reasons Camila did not participate this time is because she already had a solo show in Australia. However, if the band is willing, fans are hopeful that all five of them could reunite on stage sometime soon.
