Anahí, the beloved Mexican singer, actress, and former member of the iconic group RBD, was recently accused by Televisa of alleged fraud on the popular reality show ¿Quién es la Máscara? According to reports, the artist supposedly gained access to the list of participants, which is a clear violation of the show’s rules.
The reality show, famous for keeping the identities of its celebrity contestants under wraps with elaborate costumes, has now been dragged into controversy. Allegedly, Anahí managed to guess the identities of seven participants, raising red flags among the network’s executives.
The situation didn’t stop there. Reports also suggest that Danna Vázquez, Anahí’s manager and a well-known publicist, was involved as well. Sources cited by TVyNovelas claim that the leak came from a production team member who has a close relationship with Danna.
In response, the show’s producer, Miguel Ángel Fox, called for a formal investigation. Early findings reportedly reveal substantial evidence, suggesting that both Anahí and her manager had committed actions comparable to fraud, not only in Mexico but also in the United States.

In addition to allegations of unauthorized access to confidential information, the singer faced serious legal issues. According to Reforma, Anahí, who reportedly earned around $40,000 per episode, was accused of violating confidentiality agreements and infringing on intellectual property rights.
The lawsuit filed in the United States wasn’t solely about holding Anahí accountable—it was also intended to set a precedent in the entertainment industry. If the accusations were proven true, they could have dealt a serious blow to her reputation as one of Mexico’s most beloved stars.
The answer is no. TelevisaUnivision has expressed its trust in the singer and actress, stating that after conducting internal investigations, they concluded that ‘people in her circle acted inappropriately.’ “We want to emphasize that we’ve had a relationship with Anahí for over 40 years, during which she has always shown respect and affection for her home: TelevisaUnivision,” the network shared in a statement.
