Gerard Piqué, the former partner of global pop star Shakira, has been under the spotlight even more since their breakup. After such a public split, every move the ex-footballer makes is followed closely. Most recently, he was seen looking cheerful at an ice cream shop in Miami, accompanied by a mysterious woman.

Naturally, the moment sparked plenty of gossip and theories on social media. Some users began to wonder if Piqué had already moved on from Clara Chía—or if the whole thing was just a misunderstanding.

As it turns out, the redhead wasn’t there to meet Piqué at all—but rather another internet personality: Colombian streamer WestCol. Entertainment journalist Jordi Martin, known for his work with El Gordo y La Flaca, shared the real story.

He spoke directly with Ángel Sánchez, the owner of the ice cream shop where the viral video was filmed. Here’s what Sánchez had to say: “No, Jordi, let’s be clear. Piqué came in with his friend WestCol, and he was the one who brought the girl. Piqué was by himself,” he explained—shutting down any rumors of a secret romance.

The woman in question is none other than Valka, a singer and current partner of WestCol, who has shared several photos and moments with her publicly. So, for those thinking Piqué was trying to charm someone new, it turns out this was more rumor than reality.

What’s the Latest on Piqué and Clara Chía?

In addition to clearing up the misunderstanding, Jordi also mentioned that Piqué is already back in Barcelona, likely to reunite with his girlfriend Clara Chía. “Now that Shakira has wrapped up her tour across Latin America, Piqué has returned to Spain and is expected to spend time with Clara again,” he said. There are even reports suggesting the former footballer is preparing for a trip to Andorra.
