Bad Bunny has done it again. The Puerto Rican superstar has everyone hooked on his new album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos. The project is a heartfelt tribute to his homeland, Puerto Rico, featuring iconic island sounds like the Puerto Rican cuatro and the croak of the coquí frog. But it’s more than just a love letter to his roots—Bad Bunny also uses the album to draw attention to important issues like gentrification on the island.

One track, in particular, has quickly become a fan favorite and is dominating streaming platforms: ‘BAILE INoLVIDABLE’. As the third track on the album, it combines Bad Bunny’s signature style with salsa, creating something truly unique. It’s no surprise he decided to create a music video for the song, putting extra care into every detail.

The Meaning Behind the Video

The video begins with an elderly man, played by Puerto Rican filmmaker and actor Jacobo Morales, who fans may recognize from the short film for DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. Like in that film, the central theme of this video is the passage of time. The story follows Morales as he sits in the waiting area of a salsa dance academy. Soon, the instructor—played by professional salsa dancer Tamara Livolsi—invites him to step into the studio.

The video’s nostalgic atmosphere and thoughtful storytelling perfectly capture the spirit of ‘BAILE INoLVIDABLE’. Once inside the dance studio with the other students, the elderly man begins a journey through time, sparked by the memory of salsa. In a smooth tracking shot, Jacobo transforms into his younger self, played by Benito.

Through the music, the rhythm of salsa, and the memories tied to the dance steps, the older man—now young again—starts to relive his past nights in Puerto Rico. Slowly, with the help of the instructor, he reconnects with his youth.

A Dance for a Lost Love?

This dance, however, is tied to a woman—a past love he thought was forgotten. Time has blurred his memories, which is why the woman he dances with first appears unclear, her features indistinct, leaving viewers unsure of who she is. This mirrors the protagonist’s feelings, as he didn’t think he’d ever remember those moments. But just like a familiar scent can bring back memories, music and dance have the power to transport him back in time.

With the salsa steps, the protagonist (Bad Bunny/Jacobo Morales) experiences a vivid flashback. He not only remembers the vibrant details of those unforgettable nights on stage but also the face of a love he thought had been lost to time. The video ends with a close-up of the elderly man, his expression filled with emotion as he reflects on the moments he thought he’d forgotten.

‘BAILE INoLVIDABLE’ English Lyrics

[Intro]

I thought I was going to grow old with you
In another life, in another world, it might be
In this one, all that’s left is for me to leave one day
And only see you in the sunset
If you see me alone and sad, don’t talk to me
If you see me alone and sad, it’s my fault
Life is a party that one day ends
And you were my unforgettable dance
And you were my unforgettable dance
Eh-eh, eh-eh
Eh-eh, eh-eh

[Interlude: Jacobo Morales]

While one is alive,
One must love as much as possible

[Chorus]

I thought I was going to grow old with you
In another life, in another world, it might be
In this one, all that’s left is for me to leave one day
And look at the sky to see if I see you fall
If you see me alone and sad, don’t talk to me
If you see me alone and sad, it’s my fault
Life is a party that one day ends
And you were my unforgettable dance

No, I can’t forget you
No, I can’t erase you
You taught me how to love
You taught me how to dance
No, I can’t forget you
No, I can’t erase you

You taught me how to love
You taught me how to dance
[Verse 1]

Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah, hey
Tell me, how do I forget you?
There’s a new move I want to show you
At night, I can’t even sleep
All I do is dream about you

[Chorus]

No, I can’t forget you
No, I can’t erase you
You taught me how to love
You taught me how to dance
No, I can’t forget you
No, I can’t erase you
You taught me how to love
You taught me how to dance

[Verse 2]

How you used to kiss me, how I used to please you
How you looked at me, it used to drive me crazy
It feels so wrong not having you close
The new girl’s great, but she’s not your lips
My devil, my angel, my little crazy one
My devil, my angel, my little crazy one, hey

[Interlude]

Everything sounds amazing
Let’s do it again
Like last night, like last night
Tan-tan, ta-na-na, ta-na-na
Go for it, kid, go for it
Right there, right there, let’s go!

[Chorus]

No, I can’t forget you
No, I can’t erase you
You taught me how to love
You taught me how to dance

[Verse 3]

Oh, I can sleep with anyone
But I don’t want to wake up with just anyone
Only with you, with you
I’ll dance with you, only with you
A kiss wherever you are, wherever you are, baby.
