Rauw Alejandro continues to push the boundaries of Latin music with the release of Cosa Nuestra: Capítulo 0, his sixth studio album. This new project is a deep exploration of Afro-Caribbean sounds, with a special focus on Puerto Rican bomba, serving as a love letter to the Caribbean through a contemporary lens.

The album features 14 tracks that reflect an artistic and cultural journey, where Rauw dives into traditional rhythms and reinterprets them from his modern perspective. Beyond its rich sonic palette, the project also stands out for its intention to reconnect with his homeland.

Concept and Tracklist of ‘Cosa Nuestra: Capitulo 0’

Before the full album dropped, Rauw had already teased this new era with several singles that climbed to the top of the charts. Carita Linda, with its neo-bomba proposal, reached No. 1 on Latin Airplay and Latin Pop Airplay. GuabanSexxx blends house, bomba, and plena into a track that feels both sensual and spiritual, drawing inspiration from Taíno mythology. The repertoire also includes Buenos Términos, filled with tension, and Santa, a collaboration with Rvssian and Ayra Starr that was warmly embraced by fans.

The album brings together artists like Mon Laferte, De La Rose, Wisin, Ñengo Flow, Jey One, and Saso, each contributing their own unique style to Rauw’s vision. He also ventures into new genres for the first time, including salsa and bachata. Callejón de los Secretos with Mon Laferte, and Mirando al Cielo created with Nino Segarra and his son Dímelo Ninow, mark his salsa debut with original compositions. In bachata, SILENCIO represents his first foray into the genre, produced and co-written by Romeo Santos.

The Success Behind the ‘Cosa Nuestra’ Universe

This new record ties directly to his previous album Cosa Nuestra, which earned nominations for Album of the Year at both the Latin GRAMMYs and the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Its impact was massive, debuting at No. 1 on the Latin Albums chart and No. 6 on the Billboard 200, becoming the first Latin album to place 15 tracks on Spotify’s Global Top 200.

Rauw Alejandro has also received two nominations at the upcoming Latin GRAMMYs: one for his collaboration with Alexis y Fido on Baja Pa’ Acá, and another for Cosa Nuestra as Album of the Year. On top of that, he’s up for 14 nominations at the Billboard Latin Music Awards, including Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, and Latin Album of the Year.
