On May 24 and 25, Chicago lit up with Latin pride as the Sueños Festival 2025 took over Grant Park. The event brought thousands together to celebrate Hispanic culture with a powerful lineup featuring global superstars like Shakira, Peso Pluma, Don Omar, Grupo Frontera, María Becerra, Arcángel, Tito Double P, Wisin, and El Malilla, among many others.

One of the biggest highlights was Shakira’s performance, as she brought her Las mujeres ya no lloran tour to the main stage. The Colombian icon had the crowd dancing and singing along to hits like ‘Hips Don’t Lie,’ ‘Waka Waka,’ ‘Te felicito,’ and ‘Monotonía. She even surprised fans with an acoustic version of ‘Antología,’ adding a nostalgic and emotional touch.

Her set was a full-on spectacle — with high-energy choreography, stunning visuals, and multiple costume changes that made her show feel more like a world tour stop than just a festival set.

On Sunday, Don Omar closed out the weekend with a bang. The reggaeton pioneer delivered a hit-packed performance that had fans shouting every word, especially during the timeless classic ‘Ella y yo’. His set was a reminder of his enduring impact on Latin urban music.

Throughout the weekend, Latin genres like reggaeton, trap, and regional Mexican were front and center, showcasing the incredible range of sounds coming from the community. The festival also gave space to rising voices and international stars, with artists like María Becerra proudly representing Argentina and the broader South American scene.

Peso Pluma and Kenia OS

Peso Pluma’s performance was one of the most talked-about moments of the festival. The Mexican corridos tumbados star surprised the crowd by bringing out his friend Tito Double P for a live performance of their song ‘Dos días,’ which got fans cheering. But what truly stole the spotlight — especially on social media — were the sweet moments between Peso Pluma and Kenia OS.

During his set, Peso Pluma stepped down from the stage to kiss the Mexican singer, confirming their relationship in the most public way. Later, while performing ‘Tommy & Pamela,’ his collab with Kenia OS, he made a heartfelt comment, saying it was one of his favorite songs because it features his “beautiful girlfriend, his girl.”

These gestures sent fans into a frenzy. Throughout the weekend, the couple was seen being affectionate and relaxed, drawing plenty of attention both online and at the venue.

Although the festival faced a few challenges — including some rescheduling and canceled sets due to weather — the fourth edition of Sueños Festival still managed to bring the Latin community together to celebrate music, love, and cultural pride.
