Maluma fans have a lot to celebrate. Their favorite artist kicked off his +Pretty +Dirty World Tour in Barcelona on Saturday, March 15.
For Maluma, performing in front of his audience is always a reason to celebrate. But it also makes him more emotional than usual. This was evident during his show at the Palau Sant Jordi, where he couldn’t hold back tears as he shared a deeply personal moment with his fans.
“Forgive me, but men cry too. Since my daughter París was born, my life has changed so much. Now I truly understand my purpose in life. I’m feeling a lot of mixed emotions right now. I just want to say that I owe you all a deep thank you for being here tonight,” the Colombian artist told the crowd.

His heartfelt speech didn’t end there. “I want to be very honest with you—I’ve been feeling very vulnerable these past months, but that doesn’t make me weak. Quite the opposite. It makes me stronger, more human. I have the courage to come here and speak to you from my heart because right now, the person talking to you isn’t Maluma—it’s Juan Luis,” he said, referring to his real name.
These deeply personal words were met with applause from his fans, both those at the concert and those who later watched the moment online. “It’s so important to raise awareness about mental health for everyone,” one fan commented. Another added, “The mind is so complex, and the lack of empathy is too. Stay strong, Juan Luis—life is short, and you’ve got this.”
This isn’t the first time Maluma has opened up about mental health. Just a few weeks ago, he revealed, “I have around 50 recorded songs, but I want to heal and help others.”
After sharing his heart with his fans, Maluma is now ready to continue receiving their love as he takes his tour around the world. From LOS40, we send him our warmest support.
