There are moments that transport us back in time to the deepest emotions of the human experience. Those first feelings we had as kids—like the nervous excitement of packing your backpack the night before a school trip—never hit quite the same way again. A similar kind of feeling seems to ripple through the crowd at Rauw Alejandro’s Cosa Nuestra Tour: an immersive experience filled with fascination, emotion, and surprise (complete with pyrotechnic explosions).
Art is always subjective, but one thing becomes absolutely clear after seeing this show: you’ve never seen anything like it before.
The Cosa Nuestra tour brings to life Rauw Alejandro’s latest album. In this studio project, the Puerto Rican artist blends salsa and reggaeton as the main ingredients, while also experimenting with other genres like bomba, bolero, jazz, merengue, and afrobeats, among others.
The show plays out like a theatrical performance of a love and heartbreak story, set against the backdrop of a Cosa Nostra-inspired narrative. The concept plunges the audience into a tragicomic gangster tale from 1970s New York.
You go in expecting a concert—and you walk out feeling like you just experienced a Broadway musical, starring one of the greatest performers in the world: Raúl Alejandro.
We at LOS40 saw it firsthand again this past July 11 in Barcelona. We had already caught his show in Madrid, but we couldn’t miss his arrival in the Catalan capital, a city the artist has a particularly special bond with.
«És molt bonic tornar-vos a veure, moltes gràcies per estar aquí, jo estimo molt aquesta ciutat» (“It’s so nice to see you again, thank you so much for being here—I really love this city”), he said at the start of the show, winning the crowd over with his Catalan.

The show is divided into acts, with each segment exploring a different stage in the characters’ love story (romance, perreo, lust, heartbreak, more perreo…). Rauw and his incredible team deliver a three-hour live music experience packed with detail and heart, paying powerful tribute to his roots.
Your heart swells and breaks multiple times throughout the performance, but numbers like Carita Linda and Tú Con Él (a tribute to Frankie Ruiz, the father of salsa) are particularly moving.
That emotional intensity is perfectly balanced by viral hits that get the whole crowd on their feet—like DILUVIO, Santa, Todo de Ti, or his collab with Bad Bunny, Qué Pasaría. The carefully curated setlist hits all the right notes, telling the story while still delivering the songs fans love most.
Without a doubt, the Cosa Nuestra Tour not only affirms Rauw Alejandro as a major force in the industry, but also highlights the incredible effort, originality, and creativity of his team, along with the sheer talent of his dancers and musicians (including his father, who joins on guitar). Their passion is evident in every second of the show. A special shoutout goes to the phenomenal host and his unforgettable outfits.
The only downside? Leaving the venue wondering if you’ll ever see another show quite like this again—because the bar has been set sky-high.
After wrapping up its European leg on Saturday, July 12, the Cosa Nuestra Tour will pick up again in October across Latin America. You can check out all the tour dates on Rauw’s official website.
