This September, Karol G will fly to Brazil to perform at halftime during the NFL’s opening game. And if that wasn’t enough, she’s also heading to one of the most symbolic places for the Catholic community to bring music to a global peace event. The Colombian star has confirmed she’ll be performing in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican on September 13 as part of the event Grace For The World.

And she won’t be alone. Joining her on stage are Pharrell Williams—with whom she worked on ‘Ivonny Bonita’ for her album Tropicoqueta—and Andrea Bocelli, who collaborated with her in 2024 on the new version of ‘Vivo Por Ella’.

These performances are part of Grace For The World, an event led by the new Pope Leo XIV. Taking place in Vatican City on September 12 and 13, the celebration will coincide with the World Meeting on Human Fraternity.

What Can We Expect From Karol G?

With Andrea Bocelli also on the lineup, chances are high the two will perform their new version of ‘Vivo Por Ella’. The song, which Bocelli first recorded in the ’90s with Marta Sánchez, has now been reintroduced to a new generation through Karol G. It’s a track that celebrates a love for music and the power it has to bring people together.

Another possible pick is ‘Milagros’. This is more celestial-leaning song she debuted in the documentary Mañana Fue Muy Bonito, where she gives thanks to God and life for the small blessings around her.

Karol G at the Vatican: Where to Watch

If you’re a Karol G fan, you’re in luck—the event will be streamed live on Disney+ on September 13. And if you happen to be in Rome, you can even catch it in person: entry to St. Peter’s Square is free.
