The Global Citizen Festival is known for bringing together major artists and world leaders to raise awareness and spark action around some of today’s most urgent challenges. The 2025 edition will spotlight key issues like a fair transition to clean energy, equal access to education, and empowering vulnerable communities.

This year’s edition will take place on September 27 in New York’s Central Park, with Shakira as one of the headliners. She’ll share the stage with Cardi B (originally The Weeknd), Tyla, Ayra Starr, Mariah the Scientist, and special guest Rosé. And as if that weren’t enough, the event will be hosted by Global Citizen Ambassador Hugh Jackman.

If you’re wondering how to attend, here’s the catch: tickets are free—but to get them, you need to take social action through the Global Citizen app. It’s part of the festival’s unique model, where activism is rewarded with access. And if you can’t make it in person, don’t worry: there are free streaming options so you can still be part of the experience.
