Kanye West is no stranger to controversy—in fact, it often seems to follow him. And this time is no different. The rapper is once again making headlines, now drawing major backlash in the Larchmont area of Los Angeles. Not just for his antisemitic posts online, but also for reportedly using racist symbols during casting sessions for his latest project.
According to TMZ, West has been handing out urgent flyers around the neighborhood. Supposedly ‘urgently’ looking for ‘African American Males’ to join what he’s calling a ‘hooligan choir,’ currently rehearsing in a warehouse located near an elementary school.
The flyers reportedly include troubling details: applicants must not be ‘overweight,’ must dress entirely in black, and have a skin tone similar to Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, who is currently facing federal charges. Most shockingly, the notice states that participants should be comfortable wearing swastikas.

According to local reports, residents in the area are frustrated by the constant loud music coming from a warehouse, where Kanye West’s songs ‘Carnival’ and ‘Black Skinhead’ are being played on repeat through powerful speakers. Neighbors have called the Los Angeles police multiple times to report the noise. But also for the presence of Nazi symbols painted on the building, but so far, they say there’s been no effective response.

Kanye hasn’t been seen on set. However, several witnesses have reported seeing Black men with shaved heads, dressed in dark clothing, standing in military-like formations as they audition for roles.
Over the past 60 days, police have received numerous calls about the noise and disturbances, and they are currently looking into the complaints related to the Nazi imagery.
This news comes alongside West’s recent claim involving an incestuous situation with one of his cousins, and follows a series of controversies involving the rapper. Including conflicts with his ex-wife, Beyoncé, among others
