Chiara Ferragni has been at the center of several controversies lately, many of them linked to her ex-husband, rapper Fedez. She recently faced a trial for aggravated fraud, accused of misleading consumers through product promotions that were supposedly for charity. Not long after, rumors surfaced about Fedez’s alleged infidelity while they were still married.
In the midst of all this, Ferragni and Fedez announced their separation in March 2024, ending seven years of marriage and sparking even more speculation, including about their two children. Now, on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Chiara has decided to break her silence and open up like never before through her Instagram.
In a series of four Instagram stories, she shared what she went through during her seven-year marriage with Fedez, admitting that she tolerated «disrespect and justified wrong behavior» in the name of love. “For months, I chose to stay silent to protect myself and my family from two situations that have deeply affected me […] but I can’t keep quiet anymore,” she wrote.
Then she continued: “I spent seven years in a relationship where I loved without limits […] Loved even when there were so many reasons to walk away. I put up with situations where I would have told any friend, ‘Don’t do this to yourself,’ because, to me, love also meant sacrifice. I kept excusing disrespect and justifying the wrong behavior to protect him, to protect our family, to protect our relationship. Because I always saw myself as the strong one, the independent one, the one who had to hold everything together.”
However, what shocked people the most was the confirmation that Fedez had been in an extramarital relationship for six of the seven years they were married.
“I felt sick when I realized everything I had lived was a complete lie, but I suffered in silence […] I stayed quiet because I wanted to move forward without focusing on the pain I had been through. And because I have two children who will one day hear everything their parents say about each other—and certain things will hurt them. But deciding—together with his friend—to make even more details public, probably as revenge for his mistress’s unrequited love, was truly a low blow.”
