“A great Puerto Rican, known as ‘the bunny,’ has given us a meaningful gift with his latest album. He reminds us, ‘Don’t let go of the flag, don’t forget the Lerolai. Because I don’t want them to do to you what happened to Hawaii.’”
The priest used this verse from Bad Bunny’s song to deliver a heartfelt message: “If we’re willing to lose Aguadilla and its beauty, then let’s allow them to do to us what they did to Hawaii. But if we’re not, whether we are Catholic, Evangelical, believers, or even atheists, we must come together to defend who we are: Puerto Ricans here. Puerto Ricans even on the moon, Puerto Ricans alive, and Puerto Ricans who have passed on. And if Saint Peter allows it, when we reach heaven, let’s bring the Puerto Rican flag with us so we can say proudly, ‘I am Puerto Rican,’ and Saint Peter will know it.”
