The LOS40 Music Awards 2025 were packed with big moments and unexpected highlights. Including Rosalía performing ‘Reliquia’ live for the first time. Another major standout of the night was Aitana, who has fully stepped into her ‘SUPERESTRELLA’ era with her latest album, Cuarto Azul.
Throughout the ceremony, Aitana delivered some of the album’s biggest tracks, including ‘CUANDO HABLES CON ÉL,’ ‘6 DE FEBRERO,’ and her breakout hit, ‘SUPERESTRELLA’.
The song tells the story of a superstar who meets someone in a club and instantly feels a spark. One of those chaotic, exciting, probably-a-mistake kind of connections. She knows people recognize her, she knows the spotlight follows her everywhere. And she’s used to being seen as “the celebrity” instead of a real person.
But this guy approaches her without fear or hesitation, and that catches her attention. He doesn’t seem intimidated by her fame, and he openly tells her he wants to be with her. She pushes back, reminding him that dating someone in the public eye isn’t easy. Rumors spread fast, and that falling for a superstar can be overwhelming.
Still, they’re drawn to each other. They sneak away, they flirt, and she entertains the possibility of something more—even while knowing it might blow up the next day on TV. The whole song lives in that tension between impulse and consequence: wanting to give in to the moment, but knowing the price that comes with it.
At its core, ‘SUPERESTRELLA’ is about the vulnerability behind fame. How hard it is to be truly known, how rare it is to feel seen without the filter of celebrity, and how tempting it is to gamble on a connection that might be nothing more than a beautiful mistake.
(Superstar, Superstar)
He sees me walking into the club
And he can’t stop staring
Think he might’ve recognized me
Or maybe he’s just another one of many
Shit
Maybe you’ll be my next mistake (My next mistake)
I’m with my girls, watching you from the corner of my eye
That Versace shirt looks way too good on you
Tonight, you’re gonna be my next mistake (My next mistake)
And I don’t know
Where the hell he disappeared to
He’s not in the bathroom, not in the hallway
F**k
He’s at the bar—and walking straight toward me
He tells me he just wants to have fun
I tell him that rumors travel fast
He says he doesn’t care about being with a superstar
Everyone’s staring at us
We sneak off to the bathroom
And pick up exactly where we were heading
I just want to get to know you a little better
I guess I really didn’t think this through
But tomorrow we’ll be all over the TV
Maybe you’ll be the one I tell my lies to
Tattoo your last name on me
Love each other for a lifetime
And I don’t know what the hell we’re doing
I don’t know you, but I’m dying to
F**k
Let’s get out of here already
Tonight, I’m all yours
He tells me he just wants to have fun
I tell him that rumors travel fast
He says he doesn’t care about being with a superstar
I say, “Where the hell did you come from?”
He tells me he wants to be with me
I tell him it’s not easy falling in love with a superstar.
