The Mexican program Ventaneando revealed that Jaime González and Silvia Cristina Nodal will go to trial in a federal court. According to the report, Universal Music Group México sued Nodal for breaching an exclusivity contract for phonograms, videograms, and performer rights, in a process that began in February 2022.
In June, Universal México’s legal representative filed a countersuit against Nodal’s parents, accusing them of forging signatures on 32 contracts related to the singer’s career. Additionally, the record label demands the return of payments made to Nodal for the use of his work. Rights that were claimed by the singer and his parents.
