According to the report, Universal Music Group México sued Nodal for breaching an exclusivity contract for phonograms, videograms, and performer rights, in a process that began in February 2022.

In June, Universal México’s legal representative filed a countersuit against Nodal’s parents, accusing them of forging signatures on 32 contracts related to the singer’s career.
