In the music industry business there’s a predominant mantra: “the show must go on”. And it seems Peso Pluma has taken this literally.
The Mexican artist headlined the highly anticipated Governors Ball Music Festival on Sunday, June 9, in New York City. Of course, once again, the Doble P was one of the most eagerly awaited performers of the day. This is not surprising, given that he has become one of the biggest Latin stars worldwide, taking Mexican music to another level and breaking records like no other artist before.
It’s well-known that the ‘LADY GAGA’ singer is very energetic onstage, giving his all in each show. But this time, too much excitement at the concert took its toll on him. While he was dancing with his crew to the final verses of ‘La Intención,’ his collaboration with Christian Nodal, sprained his ankle while jumping.
“I just sprained my f*cking ankle. I sprained it but I’m going to keep going, man, as far as it goes,” he told the audience, who applauded the Mexican’s attitude. His team even brought a chair to the stage, which he threw into the air. «F*ck the chair! Le’ts go, I want to see those motherf*ckers singing there!»
