Peso Pluma left his fans speechless when he continued his show after a the incident at the Governors Ball Festival in early June. As one of the event’s main headliners, his appearance was one of the most anticipated of the night, though the evening didn’t go as smoothly as planned.

During one of his songs, the artist from Jalisco was dancing energetically with his group of dancers. At one point, while jumping around, Peso Pluma misstepped, twisting his ankle, which seemed to result in a live on-stage ankle fracture.

However, the ‘LADY GAGA’ singer had no intention of stopping the show, as we reported a few weeks ago on LOS40 USA.

“I can barely stand, but I don’t give a fuck, I’m going to keep singing!” announced the ‘Éxodo’ (2024) singer. A crew member approached him at that moment to give him a chair so he could rest his foot, but he refused. “F*ck the motherf*cking chair! Come on, brother. Are we going to jump, or what, New York?” the singer shouted during his appearance at the Governor’s Ball.

This incident clearly demonstrated the level of dedication Hassan (Peso Pluma’s real name) has to his profession. Hours later, the singer himself communicated via Instagram that he was in the hospital awaiting medical tests, which ultimately confirmed an ankle fracture. Peso Pluma also revealed to his fans that he had recently undergone surgery.

The ‘VINO TINTO’ singer shared his first photo since the accident at his last show in a recent story. In it, we can see him on crutches, with his left foot in a splint, wearing a white cap and a Mexican national team jersey, showing support for his country during the Copa América.

This is his most recent photo, but it’s not the first image the artist has posted since the Governors Ball. Just a few days ago, Hassan shared a carousel showing off his new look, having ditched his iconic mullet. “I’m still alive, still blessed…” he wrote in his Instagram post.

At the time of his injury, Peso Pluma was in the midst of his ‘Éxodo’ Tour in the United States, a concert run celebrating the release of his latest album of the same name.

When will Peso Pluma Return to the Stage?

The truth is, Peso Pluma has not yet officially announced when he will return to the stage. However, the next scheduled date on ticket sales pages is July 19. Although the extent of his injury is still unknown, several clinics and hospitals, including King’s College Hospital in the UK, indicate that patients with ankle fractures take 6 to 12 weeks to recover.
