In the music industry, not everything revolves around rankings, but they are often among the most relevant factors when assessing an artist’s trajectory. While these classifications may initially seem overwhelming or heighten existing pressures in certain industry tiers, they can also offer valuable clarity.

Artists strive every day to be at the top of the most important global charts, but only a few manage to conquer them enough to become the most listened-to and acclaimed artists in the world. Have you ever wondered, among all the Latin stars, who are the most listened-to artists in the world?

Here is the ranking of the most listened-to male Latin performers worldwide. Keep in mind that the list is ordered based on Spotify’s monthly listens, so the order could vary considering other indicators.

#1 Bad Bunny

Undoubtedly, Bad Bunny takes the number 1 spot on the list, far ahead of the rest. It’s no secret that ‘el Conejo Malo’ has completely transformed the industry like no other. From his singing style to his way of expressing himself, he has conquered not only the Latin and Spanish-speaking markets but also the Anglo market, becoming one of the most listened-to artists in the United States.

His successful latest album, ‘Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va A Pasar Mañana’, has been a gift to his followers worldwide: more than 66.46 million listen to him monthly.

#2 J Balvin

The second place goes to one of the strongest heirs of the new generation of reggaeton artists who made a global impact. J Balvin has undoubtedly been a game changer in the genre, pioneering many styles and rhythms that are thriving today. Hits like ‘Mi Gente’ and his groundbreaking album ‘Colores’ are part of the mandatory soundtrack for any celebration. His more than 56 million listeners each month attest to this.

#3 Rauw Alejandro

Rauw Alejandro has made us understand that he hasn’t had the easiest months, but musically, the Puerto Rican artist continues to ascend, becoming the third most listened-to male Latin artist in the world. With 53.27 million listeners each month, the interpreter of ‘Beso’ continues to revolutionize his fans with the help of social media, where trends like ‘Santa’ or ‘Diluvio’ keep on dancing.

#4 Daddy Yankee

The king, god, and creator of reggaeton couldn’t be absent from this ranking. Let’s be honest, nothing would be the same if it weren’t for the ‘Gasolina’ that Daddy Yankee decided to drop in 2004. The genre’s Rosetta Stone broke records in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs and Latin Pop Airplay charts in the United States, as well as internationally. Now, 20 years later, more than 51 million listeners still faithfully listen to ‘Daddy’.

#5 Peso Pluma

Music makes us believe that miracles do exist, and perhaps one of the clearest examples is Peso Pluma, who in just one year has become one of the most listened-to artists worldwide, taking Mexican music to another level. The artist from Jalisco, who shot to global fame with ‘Ella Baila Sola’, is listened to by 48.10 million listeners every month.

#6 Maluma

Every ranking needs its Don Juan, and Maluma couldn’t be absent from this list. One of the pioneers of the new generation of reggaeton artists alongside J Balvin, he has given us true anthems like ‘La Temperatura’, ‘Felices Los 4’, ‘Cuatro Babys’, or ‘Chantaje’. The Colombian is followed by 43.9 listeners every month.

#7 Feid

And speaking of another Colombian star, Feid! Like his partner and fellow professional Karol G, the singer of ‘LUNA’ is one of the most listened-to and demanded Latin artists worldwide. Just follow him on social media to see how he can’t stop being everywhere. The singer of ‘Classy 101’ is supported by 43.45 million monthly listeners.

#8 Myke Towers

Myke Towers is one of the voices of the most recent generation of urban genre, capable of revolutionizing like no other with his first global release, Easy Money Baby (2020), which despite coming out during a pandemic, made us not want to stop dancing. Now, Towers continues to gather unconditional fans with his ‘LALA’ or ‘La Falda’, accumulating more than 41.99 million listeners every month.

#9 Ozuna

Ozuna is undoubtedly one of the great icons of reggaeton, and few really have as many hits as ‘Ozo’. ‘El Farsante’, ‘Caramelo’, or ‘Hey Mor’ are some of the true anthems that complement a catalog of only hits. The Puerto Rican is followed by more than 40.82 million listeners every month.

#10 Anuel AA

And finally, trap couldn’t be absent from this list, a genre that Anuel AA has completely transformed. And although the singer of ‘OA’ doesn’t waste time fighting and throwing beef with half of the scene (like Arcángel, Feid, Cosculluela, among others), the truth is that he also manages to release some songs that drive his army of fans crazy. The Puerto Rican is followed by no less than 34 million monthly listeners.
