Facts are facts: Karol G is at one of the highest points of her career. And probably, of any female Latin artist’s career, because she has broken records like no one else.

It’s her brilliant trajectory of more than a decade in music that has led Billboard to name her Latin Woman of the Year in Music in 2024. That’s right, she not only took home the overall Woman of the Year award, but she also undoubtedly deserved this recognition.

Billboard has repeatedly highlighted the number of achievements the Medellín artist has accomplished, especially after the release of her album ‘Mañana Será Bonito’ in 2023. To begin with, MSB became the first entirely Spanish-language studio album to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart.

This studio album has also earned her other records recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records, including the highest-charting Spanish-language track on the Billboard Hot 100, the most streamed Latin album on Spotify in 24 hours and in one week for a female artist, and the most awards received at the Billboard Latin Music Awards by a female artist in a single year.

But that’s not all. The Bichota also led a historic stadium tour in the United States, becoming the first Latin artist in history to embark on such a project. The tour was valued at over $155 million, selling nearly a million tickets (925,000) for 20 shows.

Currently, Karol continues to break records, being one of the most listened to and followed Latin artists in the world. At the beginning of the year, she herself revealed that more music would be coming in 2024, so we’re excited to see what the Bichota has in store for us!
