The U.S. elections are in full swing as the Election Day draws closer. Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are both campaigning hard to become the next president of the country. And singers in the U.S. have no hesitation in showing where they stand politically.

The controversial candidate seemed unsure who the singer was, introducing him as if he were a woman—something the reggaeton star didn’t seem to mind. «It’s an honor to meet you, Mr. President. People from where I come from don’t usually get to meet the president, so I’m lucky,» Nicky Jam said on stage with Trump, ignoring the mistake.
However, not everyone is happy with his political stance. In fact, Maná, the Mexican band who had previously collaborated with the reggaeton star on a song, has taken a firm stand and decided to cut ties with him.
“Maná doesn’t work with racists.” This was the strong statement they shared on their social media to make their position clear. «For the last 30 years, Maná has supported and defended the rights of Latinos around the world. No business or promotion is worth more than the dignity of our people. That’s why today, Maná decided to remove their collaboration with Nicky Jam on ‘De Pies a Cabeza’ from all digital platforms,» they announced.
As often happens with such strong political positions, some applauded the gesture while others called for them to retire altogether. It’s clear that tensions are running high.
