The internationally renowned artist might give us a surprise

The Super Bowl of 2024 will be remembered for countless highlights, from the kiss between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce after the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory to Beyoncé’s unexpected announcement about her new country album. And, of course, the halftime performance by R&B veteran Usher.

Days ago, we wondered if, in his performance, he would have star collaborators, and indeed he did. The «Without You» singer took the stage with powerhouse voices like Alicia Keys, H.E.R., Ludacris, and Lil Jon. However, there was no presence of any Latin artist that we thought we might see again on one of the most anticipated days in the entertainment industry. In this article, we review some of the big names that we would have loved to watch!

The Latin Star We Thought We Would See at the Super Bowl

It wouldn’t be the first time we see a Latin artist steal the spotlight during the most coveted prime time in the entertainment industry. In 2020, JLO and Shakira rocked the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, accompanied by Bad Bunny and J Balvin. But who did we think would accompany Usher this time, although it ultimately didn’t happen?

Well, in addition to other artists like DJ David Guetta or the megastar Justin Bieber (who, by the way, was at Allegiant Stadium with Hailey Bieber), if we focus on the Latin profile, we thought it might be possible to see Pitbull, one of the heavyweights who reinvented reggaeton with his incredibly catchy remixes. Both featured in the iconic hit «DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love.»

That’s the reason why it would have also been possible to see in action one of the Latin stars of the new generation who have succeeded in the United States and worldwide in 2023.

Several names come to mind, but here are some possible ones that we would have loved to watch considering their reach and recognition in our country and the compatibility of their styles with Usher’s.

Regardless, witnessing Usher nail it at the Allegiant Stadium was truly iconic, and his halftime show will undoubtedly go down in history!
