Latin music has been making a significant impact worldwide lately, and that’s why the third edition of the Sueños Music Festival will be held on May 25th and 26th at Grant Park in Chicago this year with some of the biggest Latin stars of the moment. On Tuesday, January 23rd, the festival lineup was revealed, and we are excited to announce that the headliners will include Rauw Alejandro, Peso Pluma, Maluma, and a special performance on Saturday by the emerging talent in the ‘sad-sierreño’ music genre, Iván Cornejo.
In addition to featuring well-known stars from regional Mexican and urban music, the festival will also introduce promising artists who consistently impress us with their talent, including Bad Gyal, Latin Mafia, Mora, Xavi, and Rels B, among others. The first edition of Sueños took place in May 2022, with over 45,000 attendees over two days. Some of the artists who performed that year included Ozuna, Farruko, J Balvin, and Wisin y Yandel. To the organizers’ surprise, tickets sold out within hours of the event’s announcement. For the second edition in 2023, artists like Feid, Arcángel, Grupo Firme, Junior H, Young Miko, among others, participated.
According to data from Heraldo de Mexico, Chicago is one of the top 10 U.S. cities with a large Latino population, with nearly two million people originating from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, El Salvador, and the Dominican Republic. This festival is the result of the efforts by Sueños’ creators and producers to bring them closer to their culture through music. So, we can expect the festival to continue for many more years.
