Singers Who Became Parents in 2024: Maluma, Kali Uchis & More!

Some celebs turned parents in 2024, and some of the announcements were pretty unexpected, especially for those having their first kids. Being in the spotlight as singers or musicians, many of them got creative with how they broke the news; think songs, music videos, or even a big reveal on the red carpet and through their socials. No matter how they did it, they’ve been sharing their excitement with all of us. So, here are some of the singers who’ve added a new member to their family this year.

Maluma

After some rumors in 2023, Maluma confirmed that he and his partner Susana Gómez were expecting their first child through an emotional music video titled «Procura.» The video showcased various stages of their relationship and pregnancy, including the emotional moment of their first ultrasound. They also revealed the baby’s gender and name: Paris.

Since then, Maluma has shared his joy at entering this new phase of life, expressing that he’s never been happier. He has given glimpses of their journey on social media, sharing that these are the happiest days of his life. However, he’s also acknowledged the challenges of balancing his career with fatherhood. Nonetheless, we extend our best wishes, eagerly awaiting the growth of the ‘true Maluma baby,’ who was born on March 9th. 

Kali Uchis

Just like Maluma, Kali Uchis surprised everyone by announcing her pregnancy through a double song titled «Tu Corazón Es Mío / Diosa» (Your Heart Is Mine / Goddess). In a touching way, the music video takes us into their lives and the early moments of this new journey. It includes childhood photos and special family moments of the singer and her partner, Don Toliver. Of course, it also shows us snippets of Kali Uchis’ pregnancy journey, like doctor visits, cozy moments at home, and tender scenes with Toliver kissing her belly. 

In March 14th, Kali shared a heartfelt video capturing the initial moments after the arrival of their firstborn. “You are everything we could have hoped for & more. Thank you God for our beautiful healthy baby boy, & thank you all for the Good energy along the way. May our home & your homes forever be blessed with peace, happiness & health,” the singer of «Telepatía» wrote on her social media. 

David Guetta

Even though David Guetta already has two kids with his ex, Cathy Lobé, he let everyone know last year that he and his girlfriend, Jessica Ledon, were expecting their first child together. They dropped this exciting bit of news at the Latin Grammy Awards. Later on, Guetta shared a snap of them together on the red carpet on his Instagram, jokingly calling it the ‘most important release of the year.’ Then, in March, he posted a picture of their new baby, Cyan, introducing him to the world.

Suki Waterhouse & Robert Pattinson

On November 16, actress and singer Suki Waterhouse, known for the viral hit «Good Looking,» confirmed her pregnancy during her appearance at the 2023 Corona Capital Music Festival in Mexico City. “I decided to wear something practically shiny today to try to distract you from something else going on. I’m not sure if it’s working,” Waterhouse mentioned, gently touching her baby bump while she was on stage.

A little while after they shared the news, the couple decided to take the next step and got engaged. By March 2024, according to People magazine, they had their baby in a pretty low-key manner. It was only a few weeks later that Waterhouse spilled the beans about the new arrival. Neither of them has shared anything more about their baby, not even the name or whether it’s a boy or girl. Knowing how private they are, we probably shouldn’t expect to hear much more for a while.

We’re only four months into the year, so we’ll definitely hear about which singers are going to be parents soon, even those who haven’t shared their pregnancy news yet.
