Rauw Alejandro’s 7th album is getting closer. Since the beginning of the year, the singer has been dropping numerous hints about the new project he’s been working on, and while it might seem like there’s little information about the release, the artist has revealed quite a few details.

So, here’s what the performer has shared on social media, along with various statements, to provide everyone with a clear timeline of what we’ll soon be able to listen to:

1. Singles as the Introduction

As a preview of the full album, Rauw Alejandro kicked off his new musical era with his first single, “Touching The Sky.” The song hinted at the direction he would take next. The single talks about how anyone feels when they’re in love, which inspired the title. In terms of rhythm and melody, the song features certain electronic touches that create a rather fresh sound.

After ‘Touching The Sky,’ came ‘Déjame Entrar.’ Besides being completely different from the first single, this release revealed many more details about the album as a whole. Both singles gave clues about the aesthetic the artist would follow in this new musical chapter.

After these two singles, it’s likely that the next and final one will be released in the coming weeks. However, since the album release seems imminent, the singer might skip this step and directly reveal the publication date.

2. Album Title

The music video for ‘Déjame Entrar’ was key to discovering the title and release date of the project. While the singer shows off his dance moves, a large sign can be seen behind him: ‘Cosa Nuestra – Otoño 2024.’ This made it clear that the full album will be released before the end of the year.

3. Release Date

In case there was any doubt, the artist also shared numerous statements on the social media platform X about this topic: “The fourth little circle drops in the fall and it’s my most elaborate artistic project (until the fifth one comes, of course hehe),” he told his followers. This is another indication that the release date has been planned for a while. So, we’ll have to keep an eye out at the end of the month to see if the official date is finally set.

4. Inspiration for ‘Cosa Nuestra’

The Puerto Rican artist recently shared how much work he’s put into this project. Just a few days ago, he gave an interview to Billboard, where he revealed the influences and inspirations he took for this production.

The salsa album Cosa Nuestra by Willie Colón and Héctor Lavoe, released in the 1960s, served as the main reference. As Rauw Alejandro explained, the album talks about the migration of Puerto Ricans to the United States: «Now I’m Raúl, an adult living in New York, recreating the era when Puerto Ricans migrated to the city,» he acknowledged.

Therefore, the upcoming album will be a tribute to his family and roots. The aesthetic and wardrobe will also follow this theme, helping us understand why the artist considers this his most elaborate project to date.

5. Possible Tour in 2025

Until that long-awaited day arrives, Rauw Alejandro continues to travel from place to place, performing the music he’s released so far. In Monterrey, just before saying goodbye and ending the show, the singer promised a new concert for 2025, hinting at a possible world tour. However, to find out if these statements will come true, we’ll have to wait at least until the official release of Cosa Nuestra.

6. Possible Collaborations

Given all the information shared so far, his fans haven’t hesitated to start guessing the names of artists who might collaborate with him. A few months ago, an interaction involving Tainy set off all the alarms. Let’s not forget that the musician and record producer, is a close friend of Rauw, and they’ve already released several songs together. It wouldn’t be surprising if they’ve reunited in the studio for this new project.

7. Recap of All His Albums

Lastly, here’s a list of the albums the Puerto Rican artist has released so far to make the wait for «Cosa Nuestra» a bit more bearable:
