The Puerto Rican artist brings a new tracklist packed with songs inspired by traditional Latin rhythms
In recent months, Rauw Alejandro has fully immersed us in his new musical era. With tracks like Touching The Sky and Déjame Entrar, we got a glimpse of the early stages of Cosa Nuestra, his fifth studio album, which promised to be rich in references to mafia culture and the 1970s. Finally, on November 15, we’ve been treated to the full tracklist.
Featuring a variety of collaborations with industry icons, Raúl (as he now goes by) takes us on a journey through time, reviving the sounds born in Latin America that later conquered the world. Rhythms like bachata, cha-cha-cha, salsa, and merengue take center stage in some of the tracks. But he doesn’t stop there—funk, disco, R&B, and reggaeton also shine through in songs like Qué Pasaría… with Bad Bunny, Revolú with Feid, and the previously released Déjame Entrar.
Undoubtedly, one of the standout gems of this project is his collaboration with Laura Pausini. Together, they’ve created a new version of Se Fue, the 1993 hit that marked a turning point in the Italian singer’s career. Unlike the original, Raúl adds an electro-urban twist that captivates listeners from the very first second.
The producers behind this project also deserve recognition, having brought Rauw’s musical vision to life and crafted songs that have already become the soundtrack for millions of people. Names like Mag, Mick Coogan, Red Fingers, Dímelo Ninow, Kenobi, Tyler Spry, Bass Charity, Romeo Santos, Dulce Como Candy, Mr. NaisGai, Smiileey, Lokey, Smart, and Timbaland appear in the credits as contributors to this ambitious work.
