It’s hard to imagine an artist with as much versatility as Peso Pluma. The original artist from Jalisco didn’t become number one in Mexican music for nothing.
Not only has ‘Doble P’ carved out a place in the game with the corridos tumbados that his compatriot Natanael Cano popularized with the album of the same name, but he has also managed to stand out in other genres like dembow alongside El Alfa in ‘PLEBADA,’ reggaeton with artists like Anitta in ‘Bellakeo,’ and even ballads with his ex-partner Nicki Nicole in ‘Por Las Noches.’
Hassan (Peso Pluma’s real name) was clear that he didn’t want to stop there. Taking advantage of his global success, both in and outside the United States, he told LOS40 a few months ago about his desire to collaborate with global hip hop icons like Drake or Kanye West. And indeed, he has achieved it.
A few weeks ago, rumors arose of a possible collaboration with the ‘Hotline Bling’ singer, as Drake reposted one of Peso Pluma’s stories. However, there have been no further updates on this.

Although Peso Pluma’s initial verses in the song are in Spanish, the Mexican artist surprises by dropping some verses in English, trying to match Rich’s flow. And it sounds great. It’s clear that Doble P spent his teenage years in the United States, as his fluency in the language and slang is evident, even if they’re not his native tongue.
Do you think Peso Pluma will dare to release a song entirely in English? We’d love to see it!
