The finalists for the 2024 Billboard Music Awards have just been announced: Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter lead the pack with the most nominations, earning 16 and 9 nods, respectively. In addition to these iconic female pop stars, Zach Bryan stands out as one of the top finalists, securing a total of 18 nods across multiple categories.
Fortunately, the list of nominees also highlights a strong presence of Latin superstars. Notably, the Top Latin Artist category features some of the most celebrated names of the year, including Bad Bunny, Karol G, Fuerza Regida, Junior H, and Peso Pluma.
Both Bad Bunny and Karol G appear in the Top Latin Touring Artist category alongside the legendary Luis Miguel, as the three Latin artists with the highest-grossing tours to date.
In the Top Latin Duo/Group category, as in most Latin-focused categories, there is a predominantly male presence. Finalists include Eslabón Armado, Fuerza Regida, and Grupo Frontera.
The Top Latin Female Artist category features Karol G, Shakira, and Kali Uchis, while nominees for Top Latin Male Artist include Bad Bunny, Junior H, and Peso Pluma.
Beyond categories dedicated specifically to Latin artists, Fuerza Regida is competing for a trophy in the Top Duo/Group category alongside major names like blink-182, Coldplay, Linkin Park, and Stray Kids.
