The celebration of the 2024 GRAMMYs has left us with countless memorable moments and great protagonists. In the realm of Latin urban music, Karol G and Peso Pluma have been the awardees, although at the 66th edition of the awards, other figures like Maluma also attended. However, some missed another icon of the genre: J Balvin.
We are unaware if his absence was due to not being invited —let’s remember that the Colombian made a tough statement against the Recording Academy some years ago— or due to the personal situation he was going through, which may have forced him to cancel all his plans. Balvin is not currently experiencing the best personal moment, as he has lost his most loyal adventure companion: his dog Enzo.
The artist himself announced this on social media just a few hours ago. On Instagram Stories, he shared a photo from years ago with his pet. He also posted a black and white photo of Enzo with the text: «Rest in peace, Enzo. 2010-2024.»

Later, he explained in some videos what had happened and took the opportunity to share a reflection:
The news of Enzo’s death has stirred up his fans, who have flooded social media with messages of encouragement and condolences to the artist. His pet has accompanied him for years and has lived with him through many important periods of his life, such as his rise to fame until becoming an international music icon. «I can’t believe that Enzo, J Balvin’s little dog, died. Losing a pet is like losing a part of one’s life,» says a follower. «Stop everything, J Balvin’s dog Enzo died. I remember when I saw him in the ‘Sigo Extrañándote’ video,» adds another user.
