2024 GRAMMYs Latin Winners

Karol G, Peso Pluma & Maluma were among the protagonists of a night full of emotions

The 66th edition of the highly anticipated Grammy Awards was held on February, 4th in a night full of girl power. SZA, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Miley Cyrus were some of the female voices and top nominees at the event.

In a year that has evidenced the great impact of Spanish-speaking music in the industry, we also want to highlight the significant role of our Latin and Spanish artists that have stand out among the 91 categories, receiving the coveted golden gramophone in some of them.

All the Latin 2024 GRAMMY Winners

On the one hand, top 2023 Latin-Grammy nominee Edgar Barrera was competing for Songwriter of the Year (Non-Classical), while in the category of Best Latin Pop Album, Spanish artist Pablo Alborán was nominated for “La Cuarta Hoja,” together with Colombian-American musician AleMor for “Beautiful Humans, Vol. 1,” Maluma for “Don Juan,” Paula Arenas for “A Ciegas,” Puerto Rican Pedro Capó for “La Neta,” and Guatemalan singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno for “X Mí (Vol. 1), who finally won the award.

In the Best Urban Music Album section, Karol G made history again winning with her groundbreaking “Mañana Será Bonito.” Nominees in this category included Rauw Alejandro’s “Saturno,” and Tainy’s “DATA.”

Peso Pluma won the Grammy for Best Mexican Album (Including Tejano) with “Genesis.” The interpreter of «LADY GAGA» was nominated alongside Ana Bárbara’s “Bordado a Mano,” Lila Downs’ “La Sánchez,” Flor de Toloache’s “Motherflower,” and Lupita Infante’s “Amor Como en Las Películas De Antes.”

Juanes with his latest studio work “Vida Cotidiana,” and Natalia Lafourcade with her “De Todas Las Flores” won the prize for best Latin Rock or Alternative Album. Nods in this category included Fito Paez’s “Vida Cotidiana,” Cabra’s “Martínez,” and Diamante Electrico’s “Leche De Tigre.”

Ruben Blandes got the Grammy for Best Tropical Latin Album, which was also ruled by big Latin stars like Omara Portuondo, Rubén Blades, Luis Figueroa, Grupo Niche, and the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia, Tony Succa, and Mimy Succar, and Carlos Vives.
