It’s no secret that HBO’s Euphoria star Hunter Schafer and Rosalía had a special relationship. The actress and the singer met in 2019 during a Burberry fashion show at London Fashion Week where they were both invited. From that moment on, for a few months, they were inseparable. In fact, Rosalía didn’t hesitate to bring the actress as her date to the 2019 Billboard Women in Music gala, where she was honored as one of the women of the year.
«Thanks to my friend Hunter for accompanying me tonight. I love you so much,» she said at the time. Although they later distanced themselves for a while, rumors about a possible romantic relationship between the two artists have always been there. In fact, in 2023, when she released the song «Tuya» («Yours»), social media was filled with messages about the possibility that the lyrics spoke about that relationship.

Now, in 2024, Hunter Schafer has confirmed that romantic relationship. She did it in an interview for GQ, where she spoke openly about her past relationships. The best part? The 25-year-old has acknowledged that Rosalía remains a very important person in her life.
«I have very beautiful friendships with people I’ve had romantic relationships with, and Rosalía is family no matter what happens,» she revealed.
A five-month relationship Hunter has admitted that before confirming this relationship in the interview, she wanted to talk to Rosalía. And yes, she has been able to reveal that they were dating between the fall and winter of 2019.
The actress also confessed that she had to meet with her several times to realize that what they were doing was going on dates.
Today, fortunately, they are still great friends. «There has been a lot of speculation about this. Part of us wants to put an end to all of that and another part says ‘but why, if it’s nobody’s business’, but it’s something that I’m happy to share and she feels the same way.» Now we can confirm that the song «Tuya» could indeed be about Hunter.
