Duki is gearing up for one of the biggest concerts of his career. After performing at two sold-out shows at River Plate Stadium (Argentina’s largest soccer venue), the trap artist is now facing one of his greatest challenges outside his home country. After renaming the metro station in his honor, Madrid (Spain) is becoming the capital of the international trap scene on June 8, expecting more than 60,000 attendees.
At LOS40 US, we couldn’t miss this historic occasion for the urban genre and Spanish-speaking hip hop, so we traveled to the Spanish capital to attend a unique press conference with over 100 accredited media.
Here, we witnessed a very emotional Duki, recognizing the magnitude of his success while staying true to his original essence. “I don’t consider myself mainstream. People may think that because I’m performing at the Santiago Bernabeu, but in my songs, I don’t speak about what everyone else is speaking about. I always try to make people feel connected to what I’m going through,” the Argentine revealed.
However, it’s true that reaching a certain level of fame also has its challenges. The trap star bursted into tears during a press conference before his historic River Plate concerts in Argentina, overwhelmed by the magnitude of what he was experiencing.

“Some months ago, when I was about to perform at River Plate, I had a beautiful depression because I thought I had already reached all the possible goals in my career. But now I think that it doesn’t matter the magnitude of what you’re doing, but how much you like it,” he declared.
Another big question these days is if Duki will be accompanied onstage at the big event. And yes, we can confirm it. “Everybody knows that I have my friends from a long time ago, and I always ask them to join me. At the Bernabeu, there will also be a lot of people who have always been by my side,” the trap star assured.
The names that could join Duki on June 8 include some of the Argentine scene’s biggest names, like his girlfriend and pop diva Emilia Mernes, Nicki Nicole, Bizarrap, and more.
“I’d like to know if you, at this point in your career, have noticed what makes you different and why you got here,” she asked.
Before answering, the Argentine couldn’t hold back his tears.
“I don’t know if I’m a star or not, but I swear that I’m the most free person in the world. And that is because of my people, my fans, who always treat me like that and feel part of what I’m going through, because they have been with me since I started. I really feel that I wouldn’t be anything, I’m here because of them,” he concluded, leaving this epic moment to go down in history.
After leaving Madrid, the singer will continue his ADA Tour in Europe, traveling to Milan, Paris, Berlin, and London, following a year of performing at sold-out shows in the US and Latin America.
